Meet Ryan!
Ryan started “Ryan from Kamloops” after a number of personal setbacks, including 6 back surgeries, had him too focused on the negatives in his life and had him sucked into the negativity vortex that is the internet, and doom scrolling. His personal and professional life was at a crossroads and in need of a positive flip.
This new platform is a way for Ryan to lead by example, look for positives all over Kamloops, admit when mistakes are made, truly find community, and unite the City over a simple idea: POSITIVITY. Ryan needs help though, reach out, get involved with YOUR community. You won’t regret it.
Meet Chris!
Chris has been living and working in Montreal for the last 20 years. He attended The Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema from 2005-2009 after studying Theatre & Studio Arts here in Kamloops at TRU between 2001-2005. He’s had many opportunities to work with, and learn from many talented professionals along the way.
His latest work includes logo and branding design, animation, and editing videos for our YouTube channel HE-WE-TV. Chris’ interests are stop motion animation and illustration, including fabrication and puppet making. Chris is also the main man behind the scenes, and designer of all of the “Ryan from Kamloops” logos & graphics.
Chris (HE) Henschel and Ryan (WE) Weichel grew up together in the 80s and 90s, right here in Kamloops, BC. They enjoyed drama class in high school while making home movies on the weekend with an old camcorder. After graduating from John Peterson Secondary together in 1999, life unfortunately took them in different directions.
Now, after living separate lives on opposite ends of the country for the last 20 years (a simple text can go a long way), they have once again reunited! Using influences from their childhoods, they take a comedic look at life for middle aged Dads in 2026 and beyond. With the power of green screen and newfangled computing technology, they make sketch comedy videos posted on their YouTube channel: HE-WE-TV!
